Trimal is the next evolution in BBQ—designed from the ground up for the way Aussies actually cook.
For years, we’ve proudly built Z Grills Australia into one of the most trusted names in wood-fired BBQ. We’re not going anywhere. Z Grills remains the go-to for thousands of Aussie backyard cooks. But over time, one question kept popping up from our community:
“When’s the next upgrade?”
The truth is, Aussie barbecue isn’t quite like anywhere else. From weeknight cooks to full-on feasts for 20 mates, the way we grill, smoke, and entertain needed something more.
As the importers and distributors of Z Grills, even we started to feel the limits of what was available. So, we decided to build something from scratch—a grill that answered every wish, every gripe, every “if only.”
That’s where Trimal began.
Inspired by the primal. Driven by the community.
The name Trimal draws from the tribal and primal nature of cooking over fire—bringing people together, sharing food, and creating something deeply satisfying from the simplest elements: wood, smoke, and time.
But this wasn’t just a passion project. We went to our Z Grills Owners Facebook group and asked:
“If you could wave a magic wand, what features would your dream BBQ have?”
Then we read every review. One by one. Painstakingly.
We spoke with customers. We listened to their frustrations. We took notes from their triumphs.
And we worked with a small mastermind group—long-time Z Grills users, chefs, and serious BBQ hobbyists—to sketch out a blueprint.
The result?
A smarter, tougher, more versatile grill—built for real Aussie conditions.
Trimal isn’t just another smoker. It’s a new chapter. A direct response to years of feedback, hands-on experience, and a shared love of real wood-fired flavour.
We believe every Aussie deserves a BBQ that’s easy to use, built to last, and designed for our lifestyle—from slow-cooked briskets to last-minute Tuesday dinners.
